Start me up.
OK well,
be it good or bad I am back in the saddle.
Man last week was harsh. Today I woke up feeling like I was recovering from the freakin flu. (Not to be confused with the swine flu, this is just for us freaks.)
I feel all drained, not a good drained either.
All tired and shagged out after a prolonged squawk.*
It was hard last week burying my nephew. It was a great turnout though. He touched a lot of lives. The downside was that his father (my sisters EX) took control over the proceedings and by the way it went you would have thought my nephew had no mother. He twisted it so it seemed that the ZomBee side of the family did not even exist.
It was wrong on so many levels. Grr-Argh
Then my niece spent the night Saturday night and went on a crying jag till 4 in the morning. That combined with a unpredictable internet connection at home…
ah stress.
The breakfast of chump/peons.
But that’s all over (well as much as it can be of course.)
Now it’s Monday (AGAIN?!).
Fucking yay!
I am sure I will have more irrelevant diatribe and odd recollections as time progresses
but this is just me checking in to say “hey.”
“Hey.”
BTW: Wanted to extend a thank you to all for their thoughts and concerns.
It helps. Thanks for checking in on me Danimo
*if you got this reference, then yes, I do indeed love you. Well, maybe not LOVE-love you but a nod and a wink are just the same to a blind bat. Know what I mean? nudge-nudge wink-wink say no MORE.

Glad your long week is over...hopefully you can find some comfort in the return to daily routines.
ReplyDeleteThe more you say, the more that reminds me of my cousin's funeral in November. The turnout was huge, and his step-father completely took over the services and acted like his real father didn't exist. I was disgusted, but of course you can't that kind of thing at a funeral...
Still sending you comforting thoughts. Hang in there.
i'm sorry to hear that some people in this world are so asinine as to rewrite the truth at a funeral of all places but i'm glad you were able to say goodbye to andy (for the time being, we all hope) and are feeling better this week, if not flu-like.
ReplyDeleteunfortunately none of us are able to give steve a proper burial but we're having a barbecue to celebrate his life tomorrow afternoon. i hope i can properly address my feelings there because i have a habit of hiding my emotions until they come to the surface by force. >_<
"the breakfast of chump-peons." i love it. :)
